Magic Art Quilters

The Blanche Ames Gallery exhibit for the month of February is a new medium for the gallery.

Visitors and members who attend will view the creativity of 14 quilters and their art. All

will be amazed at the uniqueness and beauty of each. This show presented by The Magic Quilters

will open Sunday, February 7, 2016 with a reception from 12:30 – 2:00 pm at the Blanche Ames

Gallery and remain hanging until February 28th.

The Magic Art Quilters (MAQ) began in 2012 by members of the Four County Quilters Guild to

explore fiber art, mixed media, contemporary quilting, and creativity. The current 14 members

are: Della Aubrey-Miller, Cosette Blackmer, Ann Brakob, Karen Amelia Brown, Kay Campbell, Dawn

Cynamon, Neani Mee, Judy Miller, Jenae Redmond, Olga Schrichte, Etta Stewart, Janie Tegeler,

Joan Watkins, and Carol Yonetz. The group meets monthly to encourage creativity and personal

growth as they explore fiber and mixed media arts sharing new techniques through hands on

experimentation and demonstrations.They issue challenges yearly, participate in book studies,

and share our work in a supportive environment.
