Carolyn was a youngster when she realized her interested in photography. That attraction grew as she took heed of the beautiful scenic landscapes in magazines. Ultimately it led to her educational pursuits at Shepherd University. Carolyn graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with the concentration in photography and computer digital imagery. She was honored to be inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. Then, working as an intern with a local photographer who taught her various computer photography programs she honed her skills in retouching photographs and the restoration of old photographs. She has displayed her work on a number of occasions in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
