Kai Hagen

The Blanche Ames Gallery will exhibit the works of photographer Kai Hagen for the month of October. Kai Hagen established a life-long connection to Frederick County as a young boy, visiting his grandparents’ old mountain farm. Kai and his family moved to Frederick eighteen years ago, and now live in the Catoctin Mountains. He has been actively involved in our community in many different ways, including a four year term on the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners. Throughout the last three decades, he has been an avid photographer, and his primary subject since moving here has been the nature and pastoral landscapes of Frederick County. He has exhibited his work in various venues in the county, and instructs a few one-day Nature Photography classes each year as an adjunct professor at Frederick Community College. This exhibit will run from October 6-27, with a reception to be held on October 6 from 12:30-2:00PM. The public is invited to join Kai, congregation members and friends for the opening of his show.
