The Fantastic Miss Sue

Miss Sue

Susan L. Singley, known by friends and students as “Miss Sue”, is our fantastic preschool lead teacher and developer of our unique program here at Circle of Life.

Miss Sue studied biology and art before graduating from Towson University with a BS in Early Childhood Education.

Miss Sue developed this program in 2004 using her unique experience working with students at other schools and has been teaching here ever since. She researches and uses ideas from many different teaching philosophies, such as Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emelia, but truly believes that each child is unique and as such, has a unique learning style. Miss Sue has the amazing gift to meet each child where they are and help them thrive while learning about things that truly interest them. She also fosters tolerance and peaceful conflict resolution among her students, and as such, gives them the foundation for skills that will grow into life long benefits.

Miss Sue has two sons of her own, is an avid reader, a member of the UUCF congregation, and also runs a small, local, organic farm when she’s not busy being the amazing teacher at Circle of Life. You can even get her cage free organic eggs when you bring your child to school!

Miss Sue also believes strongly that social and environmental responsibility play a key role in a healthy community. She truly lives the things she teaches in her classroom and it shines through in her daily interactions with all of our children, whom she loves as though they were her own.

Call us today to schedule your tour at Circle of Life and meet Miss Sue in person. You won’t be disappointed!
