Carol Silkwood
Carol Silkwood,the outgoing manager of the Blanche Ames Gallery, has spent a lifetime enjoying her pursuit of art in various media. With study at Montgomery College and the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education center, with teachers in private classes, and individual mentors, she has gained great appreciation for the limitless styles of artistic expression available to follow. These works, produced over a number of years, reflect the joy this artist has found in life's mysterious beauty. Hours for the gallery are 9:30-4, Wednesday through Friday: 9-1 on Sunday. A reception will be held on Sunday 20,2011 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. for congregants, friends and the public at the Blanch Ames Gallery, 4880 Elmer Derr Road, Frederick.
